Kosta Kostov is not a nickname! Born in Bulgaria, based in Germany, at home around the world, the dj and producer Kosta Kostov never stops the search for the best global tunes. His sets are furious blend of sounds from here and there, including own compositions, remixes and mashups, in which balkan, mediterran, african & brasilian roots meets all the nice electronic stylez. From dub & downbeat through funk & breaks till house & electro. Since more then a decade Kosta Kostov is mastermind of the monthly parties Balkan Express (Cologne) and Global Player (Dortmund). He is well seen guest in Brasil, where he started with local support in 2007 „Go East!“ - the first balkan party in Brasil. Kosta Kostov performed at ROSKILDE Festival (DK/2009), PORTO MUSICAL (BR/2010), WOMEX (DK/2011), REC-BEAT Festival (BR/2012 and 2016), SZIGET Festival (HU/ 2014 and 2017), WOMAD CHILE Festival (CL 2019). Kosta Kostov is also a passionate cook. „Good dj's are good cooks, because they know how to mix right...“ explains his activities like blogger and radio host. Since july 2016 he has a every day program on the german national radio „Cosmo“ cooking for the ears. „Kosta cooks“ and takes you on a journeys with a dj with open sences for flavours and tastes but also music. End of 2017 he started with his Youtube channel „Kkostbar“, exploring more and more the mixing of delicious beats and bites.
