Featuring on UCB and Premier Radio, ThroneRoom Family was birthed in the summer of 2018 when Connor Patterson and Kate Thornton had the idea to record an album of hymns in honour of Connor’s Dad, Trevor, who passed away unexpectedly in 2017. Trevor loved hymns, and this seemed a perfect tribute to him. What started as an idea to record a few hymns became a fully fledged album, with Connor and Kate writing many original songs, many of which came out of their experience of grief and God’s continuing love, faithfulness and goodness during this time. This meant that the album has now become a combination of hymns and original worship songs. Released in 2019, the album, 'Heartsong', exposes Kate’s beautiful voice and draws in many of Connor and Kate’s musical friends. They are excited to be releasing their 2nd album in August 2023. Kate and Connor's vision for ThroneRoom Family is that their music would draw people into the throne room of God and that they would encounter his love towards them as his children.
