ADDA·SIMFÒNICA Josep Vicent, conductor Resident orchestra of ADDA Auditorium-Valencian Community Foundation, has gained national and international recognition due to the quality and energy of its sound. ADDA·SIMFÒNICA performs with guest conductors such as maestro Valery Gergiev, Christian Lindberg, Anu Tali, Jurjen Hempel, Yaron Traub, as well as with soloists as prestigious as Maria João Pires, Labèque sisters, Pacho Flores, Javier Perianes, Ángeles Blancas, Denis Kozhukhin etc. Michael Nyman, David Mora, Per Egland, Jesús Mula, Ximo Cano, J. Vicent Egea and Nicola Campogrande have written works for the orchestra. Other remarkable projects were performed with the Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, Orfeó Valencià, Spanish Brass, and Títeres Etcétera. The orchestra has an important commitment to contemporary music and historical repertoire and plays a significant social and pedagogical role in the region. It has performed concerts at the Festival “Summer of Purpose” Munich, Grupo Planeta’s Azorín Award, the National Sports Gala and the opening of the Volvo Ocean Race, and has also collaborated with the acclaimed theatre and opera group La Fura dels Baus, in productions of Carmina Burana and Haydn’s The Creation. The orchestra was awarded the prestigious “Melómano de Oro” for the album “Music for Emotions” and it has recently signed an international three-album contract with Warner Classics.
