Cesar Rezer was born and raised in the city of São Paulo. He has been living in Canada for the past ten years and loves the diversity of the country. Always willing to explore new rhythms, Cesar explains that he is always looking for new ways to incorporate a variety of genres and likes to experiment with different instruments. He’s inspired by Latin music, electronic beats and pop and adds his own personal touch by drawing inspiration from his Brazilian heritage. With a great musical portfolio, Cesar received the Portuguese-Brazilian Awards 2015 at the Lincoln Center in New York, an annual awards night organized by journalist Ricky Terezi. The event honours Portuguese-Brazilian’s living in North America who excel in their field. Cesar Rezer was honoured with an award during the ceremony for his performance at the FIFA Fan Zone for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 at Montreal Olympic Stadium. Since 2015, Cesar has been an official singer and songwriter for Montreal Terrato’s group. Terrato is a percussion group from Quebec inspired by Brazilian Carnival music, similar to Olodum. Cesar was also invited to collaborate with Claudia Leitte, one of the Brazilian National highlight singers at the 2016 Brazilian Carnival in Salvador/Bahia.
