Kwabena Boateng, better known by his stage name G-box Da Smoke is a hip-hop recording artist originally from Accra; Ghana. Raised in a music inclined family, he started writing music at the age of eight as he says music was his first love. Moving to United States has been an opportunity to set his dreams as goals and gave him the platform to start recording music at the age of 15. Being the only African kid rapping in high school he had to step his game up and prove himself with freestyles and battles to get his fair share of respect as an emcee. With musical influences including 50 cent, Styles P, Camron and some of the greatest emcees to touch the mic, his mission is to reach the masses with his sound and message. Always having the ability to be a lead, along with his right hand man Justin "Capo" Patterson, they founded TAKE MONEY GANG to share their story, spread their message, and display their many talents. Through his lyrics, his flow and delivery you can feel the pain, hunger and passion. As a solo artist, his latest achievement is the recently released 4th solo project “This thing of ours" which features and showcases many of his talents.
