Singer/songwriter and pianist Tophy Dye released his debut album, 'Skeletons' on 29 October 2021. Self-penned and co-produced by Dye, here he incorporates folk, rock, pop, jazz and classical styles. One track even features Gregorian chant. At the centre is Tophy, his piano, and the stark and sometimes brave subject matter. Dark coming of age track, 'I Will Be Your Child Tonight' deals with sexual exploitation while electro pop track, 'Marmalade', provides light musically to some of the darker parts of the album. Elsewhere, Tophy covers teenage crushes, homophobic bullying ('Voice For All This'), bereavement ('Dear Dad'), and relationships, with honesty reminiscent of early Joni Mitchell or Tori Amos. www.tophydye.com
