‘Out on the Edge’ out now 📚 From his time in popular Post-punk outfit ‘Black Midi’ and working with many of the finest groups in the UK jazz scene - ‘Kokoroko’ and Mercury prize winners ‘Ezra Collective’ amongst them - while also creating and playing with Tom Misch, Wizkid, Celeste and more, it’s no wonder Kaidi Akinnibi’s own music is so precise and eclectic. Kaidi Akinnibi grew up in South London. Developing alongside many other musical artists - many hailing from Tomorrows Warriors and the Windmill - his own rare style blends Shoe-gaze Rock, Punk-Jazz, and Indie music via his distinct warm vocals and powerful, emotive, high energy Saxophone sounds. 2023/24 saw Kaidi’s first impact in the UK, his live recording ‘Real Enough’ recorded before his sold out show at the Dalston Curve garden, intimate live session in the 5db canteen and performance at the db Soundscape stage at WOMAD Festival being notable highlights.
