A native of Columbia, SC, Jazmine Phoenix (born Toneka Mack) is a rapper, songwriter, and modern day Renaissance woman. When Jazmine was 18 she was recruited to be the second half of the now defunct female rap duo Fire & Sexy. After the group amicably departed ways, she arose from the ashes of the obsolete duo and was reborn as Jazmine Phoenix, the solo rapper extraordinaire we know today. Soon after the transition she was affectionately dubbed MzHot16. Jazmine gained the alias from her ability to bless tracks with 16 bars of blazing lyrics effortlessly. Even the legendary Kurtis blow has cosigned on this lyrical phenomenon raw talent.
