Hey I'm a young Hip hop/Afrobeat artist from Winnipeg, Canada. Florent Alimasi is my full name, I'm originally born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, 1996. My creative practice and inspiration to music and arts is informed by my personal experiences of displacement and loss caused by war and natural disaster. Music has always been there for me since a very young age. I had my first rap group at 14 years old named the "Deep Boyzz". This was a very significant moment in my life, I spent a lot of time in the studios just always creating, learning and appreciating the craft with some of my closest friends in which some are no longer with us, may their souls rest in peace. After graduating from high school I Moved from Winnipeg to Montreal and I dropped my first mixtape called "Winter soldier" , produced by Mich2050 Studio.
