Electronic musician and composer Emil Johansen possesses a keen interest in pushing the boundaries of ambient electronica and experimental electronic music. Originating from Denmark, Johansen has dedicated over a decade to refining his craft. Utilizing a modular synthesizer and a laptop, Johansen consistently explores his trusted instruments, producing otherworldly synthesized sounds that are both captivating and cerebral. Throughout his career, Johansen has released an array of solo and collaborative works under various monikers since 2018, ranging from spacy house music to generative ambient soundscapes, such as the conceptual releases Time, space, cycles, everything (2020) and "Curriculum" (2022). Emil has also explored diverse fields and mediums in electronic music and sound, with his works spanning from conceptual compositions, to sound art installations and spatial audio design for video games and podcasts. Additionally, he is one-half of the critically acclaimed electronic music duo BYLJA, who released their debut EP Sojourn in 2021.
