David J. Peña is a drummer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist raised in Mission, Tx and is currently based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. David’s compositions conjure vast worlds and cinematic visions through their evocative soundscapes and imaginative development. David has been writing music for years and is often inspired by movie scenes and settings. It has been his lifelong dream to turn his Piano compositions into cinematic orchestral arrangements. David has released two Cinematic Piano w/Orchestration albums, Thinking of You (2020) and Winds of Change (2021). These albums are compilations of cinema-inspired songs he wrote and recorded with award winning orchestral composer Judah Earl. David’s albums are beautiful, relaxing and highly meditative, 3 things all music lovers could use more of during these challenging times. Both albums were nominated for Best Piano w/Orchestration at the OWMR Music awards in 2020 and 2021.
