When Phil A heard the Wilie Mitchell sample used by The Rza & Gza on Liquid Swords he knew he had to make beats. The Beat Makin' MC born Philip Agudelo in Long Island New York was heavily influenced early on by the sampled sounds of Beastie Boys, Wu Tang & Gangstarr as well as the raw DIY work ethic and energy of mid 90's Punk & Hardcore scene. Last year, after surviving a heart attack, Phil has increased his production output. Releasing projects with long time collaborator, Rasson Arigato, as well as legends of the game like, Planet Asia (NO EXIT PLANS) In Las Vegas since the early 2000's Phil A has established his place releasing music through his own Rap Is Fun label. With several group projects including Mob Zombie , Phil A & Hassan, Astro Blunt and Slump Lords. In 2017 Las Vegas Weekly's "Best Of" issue named Phil A the "Best Hip Hop Swiss Army Knife" As a producer Phil A has worked with artists he looks up to in the rap game such as LMNO, Mitchy Slick, KOOL A.D. & more.
