Xalent Audio Engineer, Producer, & Artist was born in New Orleans 9th Ward Desire Housing Projects. Being influenced by his environment in the early 90s he started his music interests being inspired by soul artist from the 70s 80s and hip hop artists/producers from Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Snoop Dogg, Juvenile, Nas etc. At age 15 in 2004 after a chance conversation with multi Platinum Producer Mannie Fresh (Cash Money Records) he grew more interested in music production and audio engineering. Relocating to Atlanta Georgia in 2005 after hurricane Katrina he made a home studio recording himself dropping mixtapes online. while promoting his music at age 18 he landed his 1st opportunity in the music industry to record with Slip N Slide Records ‘On Tha Grind’ imprint declining the offer he begun a mentorship by multi platinum selling producer Riecco Delavega (Bad Boy Records) learning the music industry. In 2009 he began his engineering career recording in various studios in Atlanta engineering songs for artists including V.I.C, Gucci Mane, and Future. He moved to NYC in 2010 and began with various studios across the city working with multi platinum producers (Ty Fyffe) at Music Factory Studio, which led to him recording & mixing songs for artists Raekwon, G Eazy, Busta Rhymes, French Montana and Cardi B. He continues to release solo albums while producing for artists and building his engineering portfolio into the podcast world, live events, & television.
