It's not easy to pigeonhole Astrid Alexandre. The swiss-belgian singer/songwriter writes and sings in French (the language of her father), Romansh (the language of her mother) and English (well, the language of the world). Growing up, she always thought that she would become a classical singer, as it is usual in her family. But that world always seemed to narrow, so she decided to go her own way. So nowadays she jumps between projects and genres; she sings romansh folksongs with her a cappella trio, she has a band, she writes music for theatre plays, etc. The more eclectic, the projects - the better.
