Chris Holland is a singer-songwriter from Portsmouth, England. He started writing music at the age of 14 when he taught himself how to play guitar. After the break-up of his band "UnderTides" he wrote and released his debut EP Too Late for Wishes - EP. Inspired heavily by Elliott Smith, the EP took a folk heavy sound. After playing multiple open mic nights and local gigs, Chris formed the project Alternative Motives, inspired by alternative rock and indie rock music. However, after a longing to perform under his own name he released his second EP I followed by a series of new singles inspired by bands such as Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys and Green Day. He released his debut album What Not to Do With Adolescence on August 2nd 2019 featuring the singles Brighton, Put Out the Fire and House of Terror. His second album written/record with the elusive Material Panic, Abyss of Eternity was released August 6th 2021, featuring the singles The Dreamers Are Dead, Deep Space, Pt. 1 & Stars in Her Eyes.
