Jaylen Green got her musical start in San Diego, CA as co-front person of the alternative hip-hop band afterschoolspecial in 2007 which quickly became a nationally performing act, headlining University Festivals and recording 3 full length albums. In 2013 she joined forces with EDM/Hip-Hop/Kirtan band The Householders which performed at the top yoga-music festivals around the country including Bhakti Fest and The Festival of Colors. Their tracks 'Namaste Nation' and 'Gaiye Gana Pati (Remix)' were featured in Yoga Journal music release and their album 'YAMA' was named as one of the Top 20 Best Conscious Albums of 2015 by Soul Traveler. After refining her own songs and sound in Chicago, IL, she released her debut album ‘Better Late That Never’ in 2018 which highlights her powerful sultry vocals and thoughtful songwriting. Her second album 'Never Give Up' released in 2024 is a welcomed blend of singer-songwriter intimacy and stadium echoing solos by guitarist and co-producer Kevin Florian. The album also features San Francisco talent Blake Ritterman on drums and Wendy Anggerani on synth and keys for a full band experience save for the album's acoustic closing ballad Anam Cara (Soul Friend). A free spirit to her core, Jaylen brings people together not only with her melodic richness and rock 'n roll attitude, but also with a presence of optimistic adventure and good ol' fashion love.
