Fresh Porter aka Portervillebaby was born and raised in Petersburg, Va. Growing up he was influenced by artists such as Future, Jay Z, Nipsey Hussle, Gucci Mane and Neighborhood superstars Trey Songz and Illyaas. At age 9 he began recording music with his older cousin at his aunts home on the weekends, using FL studio, a computer mic, and the sound recorder app. Fresh was a 2 sport athlete throughout high school, excelling in basketball. After his grandmother’s passing at age 17, Fresh began to divulge in street activities like trapping, robbing, and check scamming. It wasn’t long before his actions caught up to him. In 2011 he was charged with armed robbery but was acquitted on charges after serving 6 months. While incarcerated he began to take music seriously and released his singles “Real Bitch” and “Young Nigga” under the alias Lil Fre$h. He Later migrated to Seattle, Wa. Where he started N$G Records. He signed himself and released his debut album “Welcome To Porterville” which was a local success with features from Young Dolph , Boosie Badazz , and Rich The Kid. His single Fuck Going On went viral on worldstarhiphop.com accumulating over 6M views. Unfortunately, Fresh was indicted on drug charges 2 months later and was sentenced to 4 years in prison. He was released from prison March 2, 2020. And has since had features with Pusha T , Finesse2tymes , Pooh Shiesty , Trey Songz , Big Homiie G , Fredo Bang and the list goes on. His breakout single “P Talk” is out now.
