JMON is a 21 year old Hip-Hop/R&B artist from Vancouver, Canada who attributes the people from his hometown as having the biggest influence on his overall sound and motivation to make music. Growing up, JMON rocked to AC/DC with his father on the way to baseball games, transitioning to Akon, T-Pain and Justin Timberlake through middle school. He found his interest in rap music during high school while heavily listening to Kanye, Drake and Young Thug, encouraging JMON to spit freestyles after basketball practice with his team and ultimately inspiring him to launch his music career. After recording and releasing his first single “Gwala” in 2018, JMON has continued to steadily release music for his fans, dropping his first EP “Chaos Theory” in 2019. He intends to build on the growing scene in the city by leveraging his distinctive sonic sound and half-sung/half-rapped vocal style to access and appeal to various niches within the hip hop genre, he's currently working on his first project "Blank Slate" releasing later this year.
