Vimbai Zimuto started music at the age of six and her first instrument was a tambourine in the famous young Zimbabwean percussion band competitions done every end of the year. In fact she was mostly involved in cultural activities such as traditional dance,drama club,school choir and most sports such as netball, basketball, volleyball and hockey. However she started playing Mbira and marimba at the age of 12 and proceeded to study music in high school from the age of 13 til 17. She did cultural exchange programmes such as Umoja CFC, Music crossroads, Pamber trust's female literary arts and music(FLAME) IN THE PERIOD OF 2006 AND 2010. Vimbai Zimuto keeps her cultural image as her trademark and she is sharing it to the world through her music.
