Moses Motau, also known as DJ Moscow, is a South African DJ and producer specializing in Amapiano and Afro Tech genres. Known for his unique sound and soulful harmonies, Moscow hails from Mpumalanga province, where his passion for music began in primary school, making beats on school desks. His love for music grew through his teenage years, leading to local bookings and a transition from laptop DJing to mastering CDJs by 2009. Nicknamed Moscow after a solo show in 2010, he pursued musical theory studies at Boston City College and gained mentorship at Soul Candy in 2013. Today, DJ Moscow is recognized for his powerful sonic experiences and leadership in music, continuing to touch audiences with his distinctive sound.
