Born and raised in Chicago, IL. Alejandro Almonte, also known as his stage name Bagg$ is determined to be the next big thing coming out of the Windy City. With his melodic flow and gritty sound, he determines to bring a new style not many artists in the rap game are known for. 
 To those who don’t know much of the industry, Chicago isn’t well recognized by the rap industry as a city with hip hop musical talent. Yes, it’s had it’s handful of artist (Crucial Conflict, Do Or Die, Lupe Fiasco, Twista, Kanye West, Lil Durk just to name a few), but the music industry pays as much attention to Chicago as the NBA does scouting in the Phillipines. Chicago artists, such as Baggs, have to hustle twice as hard just to get recognition by their local audience, let alone a national audience. It’s been said that if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere, but try being an aspiring artist in Chicago. With this struggle for recognition, Baggs has been putting in constant work, determined to make an impact on the hip hop industry. Many would say he is annoyingly passionate about his craft, but it just shows his hunger for success. That passion that he posses didn’t just come to Baggs overnight.
