Biography

JaVon Christopher Harris is a Colorado native who began his rap career early 2008. Only 18 at the time he released "Dough Bizness" under his long time friend's, Vince Trujillo, record label Most Wanted Records. Which had a slew of Colorado rappers in its early stages, by Dough Bizness release in August of 2008 there were only four including J-Swain. With a street team he pushed about 2000 cds from his booth in the state fair. Doing shows across Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado and soon after Most Wanted Records released its 2009 mixtape "State Official" which would've been a group album if it weren't for the few instrumentals they did not have rights for. They pushed 5000 units of "State Official"which quickly gave them a buzz across the state and the attention of Anthony "Scoe" Walker. Thanks to the Bad Boy super producer J-Swain met with Def Jams V.P. A&R Lenny S. in discuss for some type of deal in Atlanta 2009. However he was passed on after introducing his single "What They Say About Me" which featured as a bonus track on Swain's 2010 mixtape "The Reinvention" and dropped another group album "Here We Go With This Again" in December that year. He went on to release a mixtape "Wake Up Call" in 2012 and recorded the unreleased "Year Of The Snake" 2013. He maintained his status as a lyricis but leaned off his gritty rap feel for a more laid back type vibe in his last solo work with his 2015 release Journey Of J.A.V.O.N. Stay tuned for more music.
