Biography

Up and coming Denver based Lonnie is a blind Hip Hop/Rap artist with big goals for the future. Pulling inspiration from artists like Royce Da 5’9, Eminem, J.Cole, and Migos, he hopes to transform music and accessibility for disabled artists all across the world. Born with optic nerve hypoplasia, Lonnie is a blind rapper born andraised in Saint Louis Missouri. Blessed with an innate love of music, childLonnie was known to set up makeshift drum kits consisting of pots and pans to bring the house down. Continuing his love for performing and music, Lonnie performed a freestyle rap at a local talent show at the age of six. This led him to be noticed by a popular reggae band known as The Ragamuffins. After linking up, Lonnie became the band’s drummer. This association gave Lonnie the opportunity to network and perform in venues around the greater St. Louis area. This put him in contact and collaboration with artists such as Ziggy Marley and The Melody Makers, and soul singer Des’ree. However, after becoming disillusioned with The trappings of being a touring child artist, Lonnie split from both the band and the music industry as a whole. After a long hiatus, Lonnie stepped back on to the scene with a series of freestyles over popular instrumentals along with a few original tracks. Once linking up with a prominent Denver based engineer, he began work on his biggest undertaking yet, his debut album titled (The Demo.).
