Founded in 2002 by the trio of TearDrop, Mr. Cain, and WZRD Gundlach in the heart of Harlingen, Texas, 2 Throwed Clique emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the Rio Grande Valley. With the later addition of Crazy C and Pops, the group solidified their lineup and embarked on a journey that would leave an indelible mark on the Texas rap scene. On July 14th, 2003, the 2 Throwed Clique released their debut album, "Texas Playa's." This landmark project showcased a distinct blend of influences, drawing inspiration from the gritty sounds of Dirty South, Gangsta Rap, and Hip-Hop. The roots of their music lay deep in the Lone Star State, with every track echoing the highways and calles that crisscross the Texan landscape. From the urban sprawl of Dallas to the vibrant San Antonio, the bustling streets of Houston to the soulful Rio Grande Valley, 2 Throwed Clique's music perfectly captures the essence of Texas living. Their artistry was influenced by icons of the Texas rap scene, including the legendary DJ Screw, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, and South Park Mexican. Embracing these influences, they infused their own unique flair, earning them a devoted and passionate fan base across the state. After a period of individual pursuits, WZRD Gundlach and Mr. Cain reunited in 2023 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of "Texas Playa's." The reunion not only served as a tribute to their fallen brethren but also as an opportunity to reimagine and re-release their timeless music and create more!
