Biography

Hailing from New Zealand, Drum and Bass producer and DJ, Ruebik (Ruach Oosthuizen) began to attract attention in early 2020 winning the 2020 NZ Music Month comp hosted by Toocut and George FM. His track ‘Losing Myself’ was praised “as a masterclass of production and uniqueness” and got signed by Onesevenfour Records. Ruebik has since been on the move, making guest appearances on various international radio stations, performing festival slots sharing the stage with artists such as 1991, VOE, A little Sound, as well as supporting artists such as Bou, The Prototypes, Annix, Ben Snow, Terrence & Phillip, Millbrook, Just a Gent, Mt Eden, Blaine Stranger, Gray, Kelvin 373, and Crossy. His commitment to his craft leaves no doubt that he is an up and comer to keep your eye on. Ruebik’s path to Drum and Bass has been a windy one. Originally from South Africa, his first experience of playing to a crowd was as a drummer in a heavy metal band. Despite winning Battle of the Bands and the opportunity to pursue this genre, his love of electronic music began to take over. It took a 11500 Km move to the other side of the world before Ruebik rediscovered his passion for Drum and Bass and began to work on his debut singles, ‘Bangers’ & ‘Seduction’
