TORTEKA aka Torsten Kreissl is a german DJ and Producer from Magdeburg. His musical journey began in the early 90's with a classical music education and an old keyboard. Not satisfied with merely playing in school, he began composing his own songs. From very early on he started to experiment with loops, sounds and sequences. His sound is influenced by the music of his formative years - a combination of 80s synth-pop bands and 90s techno and trance. After nearly 15 years producing music with his former Electropop band “Pandique”, he was creatively exhausted, so the music took a back seat for about seven years. In 2017 a creative re-awakening inspired him to compose the first new pieces under the pseudonym TORTEKA. He’s still in love with electronic music but the new productions are clearly impacted by Deep House and Melodic House & Techno with a hint of trance. Since 2019 he has releases on several national and international labels as well as on his own brand, “DeepNow Records”. Expect to hear more from him soon!
