Biography

Georgi Kay is a trans non-binary singer, songwriter and music producer hailing from Perth, Western Australia. With multiple APRA and ARIA awards under their belt, along with a Grammy nomination, they are best known for their global dance anthem ‘In My Mind’ with Ivan Gough, Feenixpawl, and Axwell (Swedish House Mafia). The EDM hit song of which their voice and songwriting capabilities graced the stage of nightclubs, festivals and stadiums around the world, including the success of the song’s 2018 resurgence by Lithuanian DJ Dynoro – a multi-platinum remix of which has gained over 1 billion streams on Spotify alone. Outside of EDM collaborations, Georgi pulls elements from their favourite music genres (ambient, pop, deep house, dark electronic, singer/songwriter) and combines them with their love of sci-fi dystopian films and video games to create their dark, introspective, and ethereal sound. They have written and produced a multitude of singles, a debut album ‘Where I Go To Disappear’, and are set to release their sophomore album later this year, ‘Into Oblivion’. They have written and performed original theme songs for several international works including JD Dillard’s feature films ‘SLEIGHT’ and ‘SWEETHEART’, Alex Garcia’s mini-TV series ‘Residue’, and Jane Campion’s multi-Emmy Award winning TV series ‘Top Of The Lake’, of which Georgi also starred in alongside Holly Hunter and Lis Moss. They have toured with Ed Sheeran, Tash Sultana, INXS, Tokio Hotel and LP.
