Originally from Modesto California, Emo/SadRap Artist (Vandarin Tyrome Dam) is an independent artist who strives to connect those that feel lost, heartbroken, or depressed. With an occasional hype song release, IamDAM Mainly focuses on the hardships and sadness of life. With inspirations such as Juice WRLD, Phora, Ollie, XXXTENTACION, Powfu, Frank Ocean, and Joji. IamDAM intends to create a safe place for his viewers. A place of vulnerability. A place of love and comfort. A common saying from IamDAM is, "No matter how hard life gets, no matter how much you feel like you want to give up, understand that you're NEVER alone." Dam- Growing up was very tough for me. Being raised in poverty, it was hard having to ignore the hurt that my family and friends were going through. The ghetto can be a heartbreaking place. I often found that writing out my thoughts helped me escape alot of the problems I faced. It wasn't until Freshman year of high school I decided to start creating songs. I've been alone for my whole life. I always get this feeling that nobody understands me. I was taught that as a Man, my feelings shouldn't matter and I need to be "strong", the music gave me that outlet I was looking for. It gave me the ability to freely speak my mind and open my heart without having to worry about being judged. The music saved me, and through the music I want to help save others.
