Blue Navy is the former recording alias of Johnstown, Pennsylvania singer-songwriter Jake Dryzal. Creating highly ethereal and introspective compositions influenced by dream pop, shoegaze and slowcore, Dryzal's work as Blue Navy has been met with critical praise. Débuting with "Mine" on January 8, 2016, his sophomore release, "Ours", was released on May 16, 2017. Blue Navy's first ambient single, "Drifting / August, Departed", came out in December of that year, which was then followed up by the mostly instrumental "The Silent Diaries EP" in July 2018. He released his third and final album under the name, "Yours", on December 4, 2020. He currently releases music under the pseudonym Great American Racer.
