Tiki Taane Artist, Producer & Musical Activist. Possibly one of the country's most well-known and diverse artists and producers, Tiki Taane is considered to be an influential element in the pioneering of NZs bass culture. First rising to prominence as live engineer & eventually frontman of leading band Salmonella Dub in 1996 before embarking on his solo career in 2007. Renowned as much for his powerful, headlining live performances as he is for the anthems he writes and produces, Tiki’s extraordinary ability to rock the mic as both a gifted performance MC and/or a solo acoustic performer is something to be experienced firsthand. No matter the set he performs, or which country he performs in, the audience is always reminded of the sheer power of Tiki’s ability to unify, connect & uplift the soul. Tiki has produced, written, recorded, collaborated & featured on many releases including SIX60, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Shapeshifter, Dylan Frost, Sticky Fingers, Joss Stone, Dub FX, Katchafire, Kora, Black Sun Empire, The Upbeats, State of Mind, TREi, Tali, Big Sima, Concord Dawn, Flowidus, P-Money, Truth, Bebe, Bulletproof, Blindspott, Maisey Rika, Rob Ruha, Salmonella Dub, Julia Deans, Ria Hall, Optimus Gryme, Hollie Smith, Sit Down In Front, Georgia Lines, Mazbou Q, Whirimako Black and many more.
