Sassy 009 is the moniker of independent artist, singer, songwriter, producer and composer Sunniva Lindgård. Growing up between Stockholm and Oslo, with both parents being classical musicians, she learned to play several classical instruments herself from a young age. She then discovered producing and songwriting through software and spent most of her late teenage years developing her musical expression. Sassy 009 came along as a username on Soundcloud for her early works, and since then she has released two EPs, 'Do You Mind EP' and 'KILL SASSY 009' and one mixtape, «Heart Ego». In 2023 she self released a live performance recording of 'Heart Ego' both as digital recording and film. In 2021 she remixed Empress Of's track, 'Dance For You', then Kito and Lolo Zouaï's single 'Sticky' and Agar Agar's 'Dragonlie' in 2023. Vegyn remixed her track 'Mystery Boy' the same year. She also collaborated with Clairo and released the one off single, ‘Lara’ in 2019. Her expressive yet introverted works are described as 'a tour of her mental chambers' and 'perhaps reminding us that, beyond the confines of any bedroom, there’s a turbulent world out there.' (Clash Magazine). She finds inspiration in Norwegian nature, Scandinavian lonerism and surrealism.
