Baran is a Sydney based multi-instrumentalist from Turkey. His music combines melodies and rhythms of the Middle East and Africa with a modern touch on the handpan, piano and various other percussion instruments. Originally trained in classical piano and jazz drums, he gradually became a world music composer, sharing ethnic frequencies and melodies inspired by his cultural influences. His first album ‘Interbeing’ , released in September 2019, blends various modern world and neo-classical music elements and presents enchanting instrumental soundscapes. Baran's upcoming new album Bridging Worlds will be released in September 2023.
