At the age of two, I became interested in music. When I was at my grandmother's house I was intensively listening to what she was playing on her piano...Those day's she told me what a C-chord was in the different octaves on her piano. Also the other chords of course, but that was later... At the age of six, I started making my own drums with wash-powder boxes and I used my mother's wooden kitchen spoons to make the sound of a "real" drum" wink-emoticon Several albums like for example; "Let it be" from The Beatles, Block Buster by The Sweet and Black & Blue from The Rolling Stones were a part of my drums exercise experiences by the age of 8... At the age of 10, I learned to play on a real drum-kit and trumpet and was also following music theory in two different music schools for six years to fill up my evenings on Tuesday's and Thursday's. On Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon, I had to go to our music theory class and we learned how to write music etc... @ 12 I had my first second-hand drum-kit and at sixteen I started playing in a Punk-Rock-band. Lot's of fun indeed... At the age of 18, I studied on the private Jazz School 'Haleweyn Jazz-Studio' in Antwerp and learned a lot more about music those years... Jazz & Funk became a big part of my drumming school PS; This is only a small part, of my often wild musical life on stages, studio's, Gigs and crazy but revealing parties. Thank you.
