Kalimah is an independent musician from Denver, Colorado who follows the motto “There is beauty in darkness.” Through every dark moment, she aspires to find or create the purpose behind it. This driving philosophy allows Kalimah to create meaningful pieces of music, made to inspire emotion. Kalimah began writing the moment she could hold a pen. Using writing as a coping skill, she found a profound synergy between music and mental health. Now she makes music to create that experience for others. 
 Before recording and releasing music, Kalimah performed at various Open Mics across Colorado, quickly becoming a local favorite with her original songs and clever lyrics. With years of practice, Kalimah effectively learned 3+ instruments, lyrical writing, vocal performance, production, and marketing so she could become an independent artist. She is resourceful in her music and beyond. In September 2020, “Train of Thought” became the first of her professional releases and Kalimah’s debut album, “Chess,” is set to release in 2022.
