London born, Gqberha raised singer-songwriter Lara Wattam (born August 1997) has alway had a deep love for the arts. She started her journey of self expression, through both visual art and music, at a young age and although she has had little formal musical training, her interest and passion drove her to teach herself to play the piano and guitar. Much like her visual art, Lara emphasises the expression of raw emotions through her music, which she has been writing since high school. 
 Although most inspired by and drawn to an emotive style of music, Lara does not confine her music to one specific genre and enjoys exploring a wide range of styles. 
 At the beginning of 2021, Lara was given the opportunity to start recording and kick off her music career.
