"Pipe Down is just the beginning." Tameesia is Toronto's newest femcee on the rise. She started off singing and fell in love with the form of expression and being able to touch people's mind, body and soul. She later took up rapping and found that she could express herself in a more outspoken way. Tameesia says that "in this crazy world, music is the only thing that makes sense" Taking influence from artists such as Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Missy Elliot, Lauryn HIll ,and many of the Femcees that blazed the trail, Tameesia finds her inspiration for music from life, and the many situations she has lived through, as well as listening to some of the greats. Often fusing sensuality with gritty bars, Tameesia's music can be heard at the club, in your house, or just while driving in your car. Tameesia started pursuing her rap career seriously mid 2016 when she was selected to be one of the artist and co-producers on an all girls EP headed up by fellow femcee Ekelle entitled Beauty and the Beat. In the year of 2018, she went on a promotional tour touching New York, and Atlanta where she performed, and did radio interviews at highly unique radio, and venues such as Da Rehab, Future Lounge, Diamonds of Atlanta, and Onyx. Tameesia wants to be known for making current, but also lifetime music. Some of Tameesia's previous performances include The Mod Club, The Smiling Buddha, and the Hide out in her home town of Toronto. Tameesia's on the go and there's no stopping her.
