Since she started her career in 2011, Baby Blue's interests and accomplishments have been wide and varied. Her unique mix of poptism, trance apologetics, techno connoisseurship, and whatever else catches her ear made her instantly stand out as a dj. Amidst a frenzied schedule that saw her quickly become one of Vancouver's busiest djs she also found time to release her debut album "Death of Euphoria" on storied underground label Ascetic House, alongside singles on Halcyon Veil and a collaborative feature with ambient composer Malibu for the legendary Placid Angles, AKA John Beltran. Her singular style both in the club and on her records has garnered her a legion of fans and critical acclaim. While her dj sets are usually "mischeviously enjoyable" events that juxtapose "pop, noise, trance, industrial and hardstyle" to create a "rare magic" (FACT Mag), her recorded output runs the gamut from delicate, tender ambient to full-throttle ecstatic trance anthems to razor-sharp techno club levelers. Amidst it all is her unique compositional voice; an expertise and level of precision she brings to whatever subgenre or sound she decides to adopt, assimilate, and rebirth into her world.
