Biography

Michael Abeejah O’Mint aka Jupitar General is the fastest rising real Reggae/Dancehall & Afrobeats musician from Ghana. Since 2011, he has been making significant impact on Africa's dancehall scene through his authentic music & captivating stagecraft. His debut single "Nah Touch Again" (2010) was a smash hit and gained him immediate recognition as a hot new act. His style & delivery, many failed to believe that he was an African artist! In 2013, he picked up two awards, both for "Discovery of the Year" at the Reggae/Dancehall BASS Awards and the MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards. In 2017, he was nominated for a Vodafone Ghana Music Award and captivated the audience with his live band performance! In 2015-16, he released a big hit, Enemies featuring Sarkodie, which gain him higher grounds not only in Ghana but across Africa and the world. This got him so many nominations and also won the "Best Collaboration of the Year” at in Ghana Music Awards UK (GMAUK). He featured Nigeria’s biggest dancehall artistes, PatoRanking on a song titled "whine" which has made hundreds of thousands of views on youtube. He won the Best African artiste in2017 at the Urban Music Awards U.K, competing with Africa’s big names Wizkid, Mr. Eazi, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Lorine Chia, Vanessa Mdee, Yemi Alade, Casper Nyovest and Sauti Sol.
