Let Us Dance

Biography

Drea Pizziconi is a tireless advocate of female empowerment. With intellect, passion, and determination, she challenges convention to support others with her life-changing focus on music and on education empowerment. A multifaceted musician - singer, producer, composer - Drea draws from her classical vocal and instrumental training to seamlessly blend genres from soul and jazz, to blues, rock, and pop. Drea began her career as a soloist and has performed across the US, Asia and the Middle East. She co-founded Compositions For A Cause with Grammy Award-winning trumpeter, producer and composer Keyon Harrold to create music that raises awareness around the most pressing human rights and social justice issues. They wrote and produced “Running” (aka Refugee Song) featuring Grammy Award winning artists Gregory Porter and Common - Billboard named it the top single to inspire hope and change in 2016. She went on to executive produce Harrold’s 2017 album "The Mugician” on which she wrote “Circus Show” featuring Gary Clark Jr. On May 9, 2019 Drea premiered “Let Us Dance” with an acclaimed live performance in NYC at the CAMFED 25 Gala honoring singer-songwriter, social activist and philanthropist Annie Lennox. The Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) is an international non-profit organization that invests in girls and women in the poorest rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa. All 2019 profits from “Let Us Dance” will support CAMFED’s work to educate girls in Africa.
