Troy, NY based artist Zay has been withholding his music five years! Zay has always had a passion for music however he wanted to perfect his Kraft before making any sudden moves. Zay loves all genres of music however his favorite is RNB. His top 3 artist are SZA, Alicia Keys, and Khalid although he listens to just about everyone. Not only Zay does rap, he sings, and his personality just makes you gravitate towards him. Zays transition into music started off with a bang after dropping his hit single PBSD and hitting the stage to perform all over the capital region. It wasn’t an easy transition for Zay he was very nervous joining the music industry while also being apart of the lgbt community but Zay makes due with the cards he’s dealt to get the job done and he loves how accepting and supportive everyone has been on his journey. One week for Zay consist of working 60 hours a week, recording at the studio, performing, babysitting his godson, and supporting his loved ones. If Zay wins, everyone Wins. June 13th Zay released his first album Unchained on all platforms. His favorite song off the album is Steppin. Steppin is one of his favorites because it’s his daily motivation to remind him that no matter what people say about you, you are loved, worthy, and where you belong.
