Irina Zubareva was born into a family of professional musicians. She started to perform as a singer in her father’s band. She received her graduate degree in Music from the Saint Petersburg Academy of Art and Music and served as the conductor of the choir. Since 2001 she has toured Finland, Netherlands, Germany, Malta, the Dominican Republic, and also worked as a singer with a band or as jazz duo on cruise ships. Since 2013, Irina has been living in NYC where she performs weekly as a duet with Grammy nominated pianist Misha Tsiganov with whom in 2021 she released a live Brazilian album Bridges To Rio on Zoho label featuring famous Brazilian musicians Itaiguara Brandao and Portinho. She also performs with such a wonderful musicians as a Paul Bollenback, Edsel Gomez, Jill McCarron, Hector Martignon, Roman Ivanov, Art Hirahara, Tadataka Unno, Sasha Ratmansky, Dmitri Kolesnik, Justin Lees and many more. In 2022, Irina recorded a jazz album featuring Misha Tsyganov as a pianist, composer and arranger, Alex Sipiagin trumpet, Hendrik Meurkens harmonica, Paul Bollenback guitar, Boris Kozlov double bass, Donald Edwards drums.
