Melodies and contrast have always been more important than genre for Swedish electronic music producer Vanity In Mind. Nowadays, his music moves in the borderland between melodic techno and house, always aiming for the dancefloor, whether it's your own living room or a superclub. Latest releases include several originals and remixes on legendary German techno label Traum, the EPs Far out in Space (Natura Viva), Green (Amber Blue) and Afterhours Blues (Beatfreak Limited), and the single Sundown Escape on Beatfreak Recordings. Stockholm-based Vanity In Mind (real name Ville Koski) has a diverse musical release catalog, including the chillout album Lounge Garden Sessions as well as several trance releases on prominent labels such as Bonzai, Nukleuz and Redux. Vanity In Mind's career kick-started when his trance remix of Eddie Sender's "Aliencity" turned into a hit and was played by Dave Pearce on BBC Radio 1 for three weeks. His tracks have been played all over the world in clubs, on festivals and radio stations, including by Paul Oakenfold on his Planet Perfecto Radio Show. For Vanity In Mind, the primary musical motivation has always been to find those alluring melodies that evoke emotions, and express them in an authentic way. He draws inspiration from music in all genres, art and books as well as from trips to the White Island of Ibiza. Hearing that special melody can be a euphoric experience and Vanity In Mind will never tire in his quest of composing them.
