The twenty-seven year old sound engineer, Nicholas Moore, out of Norfolk, Virginia, is the new age west coast Funkadelic sound. Known by his stage name, CZARnicholas, which originated from his knowledge of Czar Nicholas of Russia while in high school, he now brings a lesser heard dynamic back into the music world. Having a heavy influence from hip-hop legends like Dj Quik, Suga free, Too $hort, Ice Cube, 2Pac, and Nas, the west coast inspiration in his music can be heard within his smooth flows and lyrical deliveries. CZARnicholas’s style and passion for hip-hop comes from a deep love for the west coast music scene. The nostalgia it brings while listening to the unique blend of genre, is at the core of CZARnicholas’s purpose in making G-Funk music. His songs hit like a walk down memory lane when G-Funk icons like the late Nate Dogg would turn any song he touched into gold with soulful melodies and that west coast flavor that just transforms a track into something different, something special. CZARnicholas has been on the receiving end of many compliments for his incorporation of the west coast art to his music. The highest being granted the opportunity to perform at the 2020 VibeFest at Elevation27 in Virginia Beach where he now resides.
