Dr. Samp, short for Dr. Samplestein, is 1/2 of (@theclassrumors) The Class Rumors along with Earl Grey Summers (EGS). Hailing from Augusta, GA, but originally from New York City, Dr. Samp mixes the Old School with the New School on his debut solo album (@nyctotheaug) NYC to the AUG. The beats are certainly New school, with some even classified as Trap, but the lyrics are hard hitting and a throwback to the days of Public Enemy, Brand Nubian, and X-Clan.
