In 2010, Marco Fazzini began to outline his ideas for the Opera Rock project, a rock/metal concept featuring a number of guest musicians. In 2013, the concept album Starborn was released. After a hiatus, the band returned in 2024 with a new saga, Twice Upon a Time. Featuring guest vocalists Mike Livas, Mattias Osbäck, and Beatrice Bini, the project represents an evolution in their sound – blending epic storytelling with powerful, rich compositions.
