Trio Resonance is a classical guitar trio comprised of Noe Garcia, Li Zhi and Hector Alfonso Torres. They have devoted themselves towards tapping into the potential and expressiveness of the guitar trio ensemble in order to generate more "resonance" with their listeners, as well as expanding the guitar trio repertoire by arranging works from great composer like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Sebastian Bach. They have also included in their repertoire new works written for guitar trio like the Second Brasileira Suite by the famous guitar composer Sergio Assad and Suite Seattle by Kevin Callahan. In 2019 the composer Bruce Paine from New Zealand dedicated his arranged work for three guitars The Art of Sound and Motion to them, which he originally composed for guitar quartet. Their debut album Sound & Motion is a collection of carefully selected pieces which represent each of them artistically, culturally, and emotionally. It includes the debut recording of Paine’s The Art of Sound and Motion, as well as pieces by Astor Piazzolla, Roland Dyens, Maximo Diego Pujol, and several others. Apart from playing throughout the U.S., they have toured China numerous times playing in different venues in cities like Jinan, Suzhou, Dalian, Beijing, GuangZhou, Shenzhen, among many others. They have also been invited to play in international guitar festivals like the G.H.M International Guitar Art Festival where they have served as judges in the competition and have offered masterclasses.
