Tshediso Matsasa, popularly known as Besto, is a Dance Music DJ that is based in Westonaria, the West of Johannesburg, South Africa. Besto started DJing at the early age of 14 years on a DJ software called Atomix, which is known today as Virtual DJ. Throughout the years of honing his craft he taught himself to play on Pioneer CDJs. His musical influences with regards to DJing over the years has been Black Coffee, Shimza, Da Capo, Louie Vega, Mousse T, Dimitri From Paris, Eli Escobar, Rocco, Ralf GUM, Todd Terry and the list goes on and on. With his different take on music in the South African Dance Music scene he boasts a broad and unique selection of sub-genres and sound that one can’t help but be attentive to on the dancefloor. This has found him bursting into the club scene through a DJ competition for the event Mental Shutdown at Club Roxys in 2015. A year later Besto finds himself as a resident DJ at one of the biggest and hottest clubs in South Africa, Zone 6 Venue, for the 2016/7 Summer duration under the event Cherri Sunset. A big breakthrough emerges as Besto gets the opportunity to be playing in Mozam- bique for a couple of times in 2017 and gets booked again in 2018. Besto has also being afforded the privilege to play at The George Hotel in eSwatini (Swaziland) during the MTN Bushfire Festival weekend.
