Cara Louise is from St. Louis, MO, now residing in Nashville, TN. Cara's major influences include 1960's/ 70's pop, folk, country, and early 2000s indie rock. In 2019, Cara released her debut solo EP, "Fragile Heart", produced by David Beeman. The leading singles from the EP, Fragile Heart and Empty Promise, were pressed to vinyl and released via Soul Step Records in January of 2020. Throughout the pandemic of 2020 and 2021, Cara flexed her creative muscles, writing and producing a new LP, a 9-song collection, aptly titled "Wholesome Dread". Louise's upcoming LP pushes the envelope, blurring the lines of indie rock, folk, and Americana. Continuing her work with producer David Beeman, the two pulled inspiration from Lynchian dystopian doo-wop, the echoes of Laurel Canyon, and the atmospheric synth tones and driving guitars of early 90's indie rock. Louise's upcoming release redefines the songwriter's style.
