Originally from Russia, KatrinKa has been based in London for more than ten years now. As a classically-trained pianist, she brings her skill, unique style and ear for engaging music to bear on her original productions, remixes and performances. With her musical productions, KatrinKa is building a reputation for emotive, enticing and melodic grooves. She began to produce in 2008, releasing her debut EP on Swedish label Spirit Soul Records in 2013. That same year she won a contest organised by the Berlin-based label Steyoyoke, who went on to release her winning track 'Far Too Far'. In 2015, KatrinKa signed to London-based Chapter 24 Records, who released her twisted take on 'Where Did You' by Twelve Minds and a deliciously dark Edition of ‘Aspice’ by Sam Pauli & Reiver. In May of that year, KatrinKa released her own 'Echo Gnomic' EP on Chapter 24, featuring Danny Oliveira and Just Her Editions and a second original, ‘Beauty’, with vocals by Billie Fountain. In October 2016, KatrinKa unveiled her brand new EP on Chapter 24, ‘The Nameless One’ featuring Thomas Gandey (Get Physical), and also released the single ‘About Love’. KatrinKa’s recent remix of ‘Disambigua’ by Djuma Soundsystem & Westerby for Chapter 24 reached the Beatport Deep House Top 40 and then remained in the Top 100 for almost two months, receiving support from the likes of Andhim, Betoko, Stefano Noferini and YokoO.
