Biography

This Frankfurt, Germany-based DJ/producer’s many classic dance music releases include ‘Sun Down’ (released on Eye Q and credited to the Volunteer). One of the pre-eminent forces in the development of trance, he was originally based at the Dorian Gray club in Frankfurt before moving to Sven Vath’s Omen club in 1993. Dag was behind the chart success of Dance 2 Trance, a collaboration with Jam El Mar (of Jam And Spoon) and vocalist Tony Clark, breaking the Top 40 with ‘Power Of American Natives’ and ‘Take A Free Fall’. He worked with Jam El Mar on Peyote’s ‘Alcatraz’ for R&S Records, and in 1994 was purportedly purchasing land in Dakota in order to give it back to the indigenous population.
